Other News
1) The Khalsa School of Tri State Sikh Cultural Society organized a children’s program encompassing the entire book. Children prepared speeches of 3-4 minutes covering one or two chapters and presented them in front of the entire congregation of the Gurdwara, Monroeville, PA on January 10, 2016.
2) On the Voice of Khalsa Radio Talk Show Karanveer Singh Pannu addressed parents of the Sikh Faith apprising them of the content of his book in order to make them of aware of this resource material to help their children. He also answered questions from parents about his book and how to deal with bullying. Some of the parents called in from other countries looking for input and help. The listening audience was extremely appreciative of this new and insightful tool.
3) Karanveer Singh Pannu was invited to the National Bullying and Child Victimization Conference on February 22-24, 2016 in Orlando Florida. The couple of hundred attendees were genuinely appreciative of all the material disseminated in reference to the Bullying of Sikh American Children. Many attendees who were school teachers and law enforcement officials were very happy to have turbans tied in order to understand what it felt to walk in someone else’s shoes. The outpouring of support and understanding was sincere and palpable. Karanveer was an invited presenter at one of the breakout sessions which was well attended and appreciated. Several attendees showed keen interest to invite Karanveer to be a presenter at schools and to (Police) training academies across the country.
